A tall rectangular column in brushed grey metal rises to a translucent off-white diffuser. A small rough-textured knob in light brown marks the side of the column.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe proportions are vertical and spare. The column draws the eye upward toward the diffuser, which emits soft, even light. The knob is the single element that departs from the lamp’s otherwise industrial geometry. Handmade, rough against the brushed metal surface, it introduces material contrast without altering the silhouette.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe base is a flat metal plate. The black power cord is left visible at the bottom. Known Work does not hide the connection between its objects and their making.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKnown Work Studio was founded in New York City by Danu Kennedy and Jeremy Levitt, partners at Parts and Labor Design. Creative Director Alex Dilena completes the founding team. The Perceptions Collection is their debut, a set of objects conceived to be collected and read closely.
