goons-goons-collection-mm-stool
MM Stool

The MM Stool is a sculptural seating piece from the Goons Collection, produced by studio Goons in Paris in birch plywood.

The top is thick and square, its upper surface flat and its edge finished in a continuous corrugated profile, the same zigzag treatment found in the You & Me collection applied here to a horizontal plane rather than a vertical frame. Below, the base is built from multiple vertical wooden planks arranged tightly together, forming a dense pillar that reads as a column of material rather than a conventional leg assembly. The proportions are squat and block-like, the stool presenting itself as a piece of architecture at small scale.

Birch plywood is the material throughout, finished in a warm butterscotch tone that accentuates the natural wood grain. The MM Stool can serve as a seat, a side table, or a plinth for objects, and within the Goons Collection it sits alongside the Original Stool as the studio's two stool forms in birch.
