L'histoire
Unique French mid-century modern sideboard by Michel Pigneres made in the early 1970s. This piece is an exquisite example of refined, highly detailed and very well made furniture. It features two doors with glass shelves, and four drawers, and seat on two large lucite feet. The mix of brass, chrome and black lacquer is just stunning. This is a very rare piece with a top notch construction and finish, highly decorative, and found in very good vintage condition.

Michel Pigneres was a French designer active in the late 1960s and 1970s. He is known for furniture that combines luxurious materials such as brass and mirror, including a mirrored chest of drawers from around 1968 and a brass sideboard of 1969, as well as sculptural stools. His work reflects the glamour of French design of the period. Collectors seek his rare cabinets for their bold surfaces and precise construction.
